Neil Hart – Chairman & Founder

Boomtown’s founder is a classically trained creative, avid entrepreneur, focused strategist and an insatiable ideas person, spearheading it from humble beginnings in 1994 to the award-winning agency it is today. In addition, he’s acted as Chairman of the Marketers Executive Forum and a trustee of the Raymond Mhlaba Trust. From a past that includes working with former President Nelson Mandela and being involved in various boards, NGO’s and start-ups to a future filled with innovation and inspiration, Neil is just getting started.

Mnce is a man who believes anything is possible. Whether he’s focusing on marketing solutions or simply on the opportunities of a new day, he sees a life that is there to be lived fully. He has twenty years of experience as a respected business executive, with extensive marketing and IT knowledge as well as a stint as the marketing director for SAP Africa. It goes to show that knowledge, experience and enthusiasm will take you – and your clients – a long way.

Having kicked off his seasoned advertising career as a creative and strategist, Glen, who’s more comfortable in a pair of boardshorts than a suit and tie, leads the 55+ team in the Eastern Cape. His key strengths lie in finding simple solutions to complex challenges as well as leading the thinking throughout the business. His decisiveness ensures our efficiency, his strategic game plan ensures connection to clients and his overall business knoweldge delivers professional, consistently on-brand solutions that continuously give our clients value.


Andrew “Mac” Mackenzie – Creative Director

As the chief cat-herder of a team of creatives, Andrew has to constantly maintain an objective view on creative concepts, always aiming at big ideas that work for clients. He relies on almost two decades of experience, from his junior designer beginnings through to his current speciality – through-the-line advertising. A people person to his core, Andrew’s skill is drawing the best out of the creative teams he oversees. And how well is he doing it? We’ll let the awards speak for themselves, from the pinnacle of local and international awards shows, including wins at the Loerie’s, Assegai’s, Clio’s, Epica’s and Canne’s to name a few.


JANE STEVENSON – BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR

Start with a successful business strategy and executive coaching consultancy to leading national brands… add the experience of being a Board and EXCO member of the Nelson Mandela Bay Business Chamber; and stir in some fearless Scottish roots and a dedication to building organisational vision. The result? A motivating, passionate team player.


Kenny Holloway – Client Service Director

We promise to grow our clients’ brands, grow their sales and strengthen their customer relationships, and Ken ensures that our various departments work together to deliver those results, carefully overseeing the welfare of our clients. Having previously worked as a Business Development Manager for Nashua and a Brand Manager for Volkswagen, he’s able to put himself in our clients’ shoes, seeing their bigger picture. And when work is done, he unwinds by enjoying a different kind of board meeting – in the waves – or relaxing with good music.


Shaun Martin – Financial Manager

The ever-patient logically brained Shaun is our hard-working financial guru. He uses his rugby muscles to rein in the spending and ensure that we always stay on budget. He’s a solid guy who commands a great deal of respect (even more so when he has pay slips in his hand).
