Boomtown sponsors marketing initiative in the Eastern Cape - Go Back
The Eastern Cape needed a forum that is focused on uplifting marketing and communications and Boomtown Strategic Brand Agency together with various other prominent marketers in Port Elizabeth made this a reality. The Marketers Executive Forum (MXF), of which Boomtown is one of the main sponsors, was established earlier this year.
“An initiative of this nature was needed in the Eastern Cape for many years now. I have spoken to copious amounts of industry professionals who felt we needed a platform like this to build marketing in the Eastern Cape. Boomtown hosted the first Marketing Communications Symposium in 2010 and this sparked a lot of the conversation about such an initiative being established in the Eastern Cape,” said Neil Hart, Managing Director
of Boomtown and Chairman of the MXF board.
Neil Hart was instrumental in the establishment of the Marketers Executive Forum. Boomtown’s sponsorship of MXF saw the company design all the corporate identity items as well as manage the event, manage the website and sponsoring certain branding items.
The first XTALK by MXF was held in July and it was a huge success, the marketing fraternity in PE came in their numbers to listen to Justin Spratt, CEO of Quirk talk about Social Media and the new Digital Frontier. The second event was a follow up Social Media how to workshop with Lyndi Lawson, head of Quirk Education. The workshop was well attended and all attendees walked away feeling more at ease with Social Media.
The award winning agency has been in the Eastern Cape for 17 and has recently been awarded a Diamond PMR Award for the Best Advertising Agency in the Eastern Cape. Boomtown is focused on growing the Eastern Cape’s marketing potential.
